Boy: Mom, can I take 'Sara' to the movies tonight?

Me: Of course you can hun. Make sure her mom gives me a call first though.

Boy: Can I have some money to take her please?

Me: Did you already spend what I gave you yesterday?

Boy: Yes. Can you drive as I don't want to take her on a first date on the bus?

Me: Ok, but what movie are we seeing?

Boy: Well, you can go watch whatever you want.

The scene: Bowling alley. Lots of teens. One teen girl in particular that Cody has been flirting with for about an hour. Me sitting with other parents trying not to remember the condom conversation while watching him flirt .... he was just in diapers ffs! Pizza arrives so teens all come over to the tables. Two spare seats ... one next to me and one next to object of the flirting. I fully expect Cody to sit with teen slapper girl but he plants himself down next to me.

Here is the short yet sweet conversation.

Me: Cody, you don't have to sit with me hun, go down there with the others.

Cody: * winks at me * Nah, miss the chance to steal your pizza. Never.
